Chapter X: Ambushed!
Corporal Manwat and his team separated under his orders.
"Oh, would you look at that! They left a note! Must be from the 'Checker'. Let's see."
He took it.
It read,
'Turn Around!'
He turned and saw nothing.
"Oh, must be a prank, I'll take this to Sir John."
He turned back to the paper.
The Black King was there, holding a gun.
Staff Sergeant Alexander also found a diamond in the factory.
"Hmm, they also must have been adding robbery to their list of crimes, this may be a new opening investigation for us."
Motioning to his team, he said,
"Alpha! Go to Delta."
He turned only to see a gun pointed at him, a black outline of A King, and Death.
From the left flank of the Factory a voice cried,
"Over her-!"
A few seconds later from the right flank of the Factory another voice cried,
"Help!"
John, who first reached Corporal Manwat, took him to the main flank.
The rest of the team brought Staff Sergeant Alexander.
He knew what to do.
Within a few minutes reinforcements arrived at the Factory. Two men took the Corporal and two more for the Staff Sergeant. The rest stayed in position, ready for advancing into the factory.
"Let's go." John spoke to his Walkie-Talkie.
They moved around in a crouching position but very fast. One could say this was like how the Nazis advanced on Russia during the World War.
A voice shouted finally,
"Sir! Look at this!"
It was a Warrant Officer V who found it. His name was Landry.
He continued when John reached,
"High tech stuff, he also gets a share of the city and country cameras, and a-"
He scanned the table. It was written in Russian. However, he wrote his notes in English. It also showed the picture of the Great Seal of the USA. He instantly knew that icon.
The Great Seal in the White House! In the Oval Office!
It said how to best insert a listening device in the Seal, in front of the Seal.
It also showed to place an extra layer of the Seal on top of the Original Seal.
He found a number of audio clips in the software and played one.
"Yes, Mr. Gorbachev, I'm willing to stop the war." "Yes, okay Mr. Bush, do ith."
The clip ended.
He thought to himself, 'It may be a Communism-Capitalism conflict! Manwat was correct!'
Then an Officer shouted,
"The gang is here!"
A huge number of bullets fired from the West side of the Factory. It seemed the Russian had also called for reinforcements.
I have a doubt, why is a Russian (the black king) with Pierre (a French guy)?
ReplyDeleteFranco-Russian Alliance, a political and military pact that developed between France and Russia from friendly contacts in 1891 to a secret treaty in 1894; it became one of the basic European alignments of the pre-World War I era.
